Things To Do Upcountry:

Upcountry Maui is on the side of Haleakala Mountain, above 2,000 feet in elevation where temperatures are cooler than down at sea level.

Upcountry Maui is about an hour's drive from both Maui tourist resort areas, both from Kaanapali in West Maui, and from South Maui by Wailea. The driving time from the Maui resorts means a trip Upcountry is a day trip or half day trip at least.
